Coleen Pienaar

Coleen Pienaar's life has been profoundly influenced by art from a young age. Her innate sketching talent emerged at five years old. Being raised by artist parents, who met while attending art school, naturally nurtured her creative abilities.

A pivotal moment occurred when Coleen reproduced her father's graphite portrait, showcasing her latent talent. Despite this, she initially pursued various careers, including drafting, architecture, education, production planning, and fashion design, while maintaining art as a hobby.

Before her full time art career started, she operated as a wedding designer for 15 years. It wasn't until 2020, at the age of 58 and during the pandemic, that Coleen chose to devote herself to her artistic aspirations. As a self-taught artist, her artistic heritage provided invaluable mentorship.
